About the role
This role is responsible for the maintenance of sport fields including turf, machinery and general maintenance to keep the grounds in the best possible condition and presentation. This includes:
- Preparing and maintaining sports field surfaces
- Maintaining lawn areas, gardens and trees to a high standard
- Plant Pest and Weed Identification and Control
- Rubbish removal
- Operating, repairing and maintaining irrigation equipment and systems
- Assisting members of the public by answering general public queries regarding the sporting grounds
- Assisting in the completion and implementation of capital works and general maintenance activities in the Sport and Recreation Section

So what do you need?
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role including turf care maintenance, plant and pest identification and sport field maintenance
- Demonstrated experience operating turf maintenance machinery, including tractors and a range of implements
- Experience in small plant operation and maintenance
- Chemcert AQF3 Accreditation or similar
- Current class C Drivers Licence (MR is desirable)
