About the role

Reporting to the Director – Development Services, the Manager Building and Environment takes a leading role in shaping the future of Orange. You’ll drive a passionate team delivering key construction regulation and sustainability functions across the Development Services Division. From steering construction certification and inspections to overseeing drainage services, sustainability initiatives and cemetery programs, you’ll collaborate across Council to ensure safe, sustainable and high‑quality outcomes for our growing community.

  • Relevant tertiary degree qualifications in Building or related disciplines.
  • Current council or private accreditation under the Building Professionals Board Scheme, or be eligible to obtain council accreditation Minimum Building Surveyor (unrestricted)
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
