Weekly Salary: Based on year of study – starting from $852.22 (T4) plus superannuation
Orange City Council is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cadet Environmental Scientist to join our Water and Sewer team.
As a Cadet Environmental Scientist your role will be to assist in the delivery of services whilst developing the skills and experience to become a competent and qualified Environmental Scientist specialising in Water and Sewer whilst completing university studies part time. Students with at least 12 months of university experience are well suited to this opportunity; however, motivated first‑years are also encouraged to apply.
In this six-year part time cadetship you will:
- Meet the admission requirements and study a Bachelor of Environmental Science (or similar) with a focus on Water Management (by distance part-time)
- Have paid study leave
- Have university fees paid for all subjects you pass
- Have structured on-the-job training and mentoring
- Be committed to completing your degree part-time while working full-time
- Be enthusiastic and able to take direction
