WEEKLY SALARY: $1,846.03 - $2,012.17

The role:
In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for assessing and reviewing development applications across an area of approximately 290km². You will work on a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, industrial and rural developments.
Reporting to the Coordinator Development Assessment, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing development applications and providing advice on development proposals and land use matters
- Inspecting developments and land, and liaising with members of the public, developers, elected representatives and Council staff
- Providing advice, guidance and assistance to stakeholders as required
- Contributing to the development of strategic plans and policies
About you:
- Recognised tertiary qualifications in town planning
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within Development Assessment
- A valid driver's license.
- Extensive knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, the Local Government Act, and relevant environmental legislation.
- High level communication and problem-solving skills.
- Eligibility for corporate membership with the Planning Institute Australia.
