About the role
This is a role for a People and Culture generalist with a passion for people. You will need to be able to deliver a broad range of People and Culture initiatives across the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, employee experience, industrial relations, and organisational design. This includes:
- Building effective and collaborative relationships across Council,
- Being a key driver for an exceptional recruitment experience that supports great talent acquisition,
- Providing advice and support on succession planning, flexible work, career conversations and organisational design,
- Supporting and continuing to improve our people and culture systems and processes,
- Delivering accurate and timely advice and support on all levels of employee/industrial relations including being able to conduct investigations.
- Promoting and coaching everyone on being able to raise concerns and resolve them early.

Note: This is a temporary position due to end on 12 March 2027, extension beyond this date will be subject to operational requirements.

What do you need?
- Relevant qualifications in human resources, related field or relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Proven effective negotiation, conflict resolution, problem solving and influencing skills
- The ability to make rational and sound decisions based on consideration of the facts and the alternatives.
