In this role, you will work amongst our community and be a positive public facing ambassador for Orange City Council, administering the provisions of regulatory legislation in building and development control.

The role:
Reporting to the Manager Building and Environment, you will:
- Use your relevant degree qualifications and Current council or private accreditation under the Building and Development Certifiers Act/Reg (Minimum - building surveyor -restricted (class 1 and 10 buildings) (A3).
- Administer the provisions of regulatory legislation for building and development control including the assessment of development applications, issuing development consents and construction, complying development, and occupation certificates.
- Carry out building and plumbing inspections and respond to requests from customers.
